The Moscow MetroA paradigm and imagery shift away from the NYC subway.

This is a vestibule of Central Moscow's Metro system, with a train there in the background, grand foyer and exits behind me, and here is one of those statues I'd heard about. For anyone who has never experienced Moscow, it is true what they say - everywhere in the Metro you see very ornate art, both on the ceiling & walls, and with brass statues that people rub for luck. (See the rooster's beak.)
I have a few images of them and other Metro sights, but... not great quality as I was generally 'incognito' about the use of camera.
Anyway, this is the image of mine which best includes a bit of the main elements. There are grand archways and ceilings I can see images online but never with crowds of people, and in general it can be crowded, same as most underground rail lines in big cities.
