Nous sommes le futur de diaspora* / What is the Future of diaspora*

Hello, I am #newhere as well as somewhat new to the #Federation / #Fediverse in general. I've created accounts on #mastodon as well as #friendica so I thought I'd try #diaspora too. I haven't used social media much at all in the last 5+ years so this is a bit of a personal experiment. Feel free to say "Hi" if you like. If not, that's OK too.

@RⒶmonⒶ ⁽⁽⁽i⁾⁾⁾ please remove me from your connections.

I follow the principle of virtual reciprocity. As long as you write me your private messages and spam me from different accounts, i am obliged to reciprocate.

Please, remove me from your connections.

You continue to write me private messages and use your virtuals here in diaspora:

And also in xmpp:

So, the profile of this German anonymous political "girl"-activist, pay attention to "her" "twin sibling" address:

https://framasphere.org/u/ramona

Checking. There's an address for "her" "Ask":

https://pod.geraspora.de/u/simona

Checking. There's a big tag #ANONYMISS

https://ask.fm/simonalein_

From this, i am increasingly inclined that this German-speaking account of a virtual hacktivist "girl" is a clone of an English-speaking @anonymiss
One of the pods still saved the previous avatar of "Ramona":
Image/Photo
https://d.consumium.org/tags/umwelt

Earlier this account used the stolen photo for the virtualization of the "anonymous hacktivist girl":

https://teengallery.com/index.php?id=131180

And here's the typical post of this Ramona:

https://framasphere.org/posts/8232640

Hacktivist boys love this kind of posts, they're very sensitive to it. But this is stolen photo too:

https://www.toopics.com/jasi_xx3/

Previously, after i published my personal correspondence with @anonymiss (where "she" said that "she" works for NSA), two similar virtual accounts were registered on our server:
https://ussr.win/channel/eternalblue
https://ussr.win/channel/sky-net
who were engaged in the publication of their typical political propaganda. Well, it's so typical - a young girl interested in Haarp and Mkultra - everybody knows that young pretty girls can't think about anything but capitalism and nazism, they can't think about anything but all this conspiracies. Then, a few months ago, i started actively asking them not to use our hub for their well-paid political job. These two accounts have stopped activity on our hub. They were inactive for a couple of months. But for a couple of days they suddenly reactivated and began to leave comments with the Nazi content. And then their German "girl" wrote Nazi post with calling podmins about censorship against me.

But today, i noticed the interconnection of one of these accounts:

https://ussr.win/channel/eternalblue

This new SEO advertisting of "a free girl for one night":

https://diasp.org/u/mary23z

Of course, also with a stolen photo of this cute girl from Kiev: https://vk.com/marina_larina

I confess that it confused me: the connection of these political accounts with this prostitution or pornography advertisement account. But in any case, both of these activities are well paid. In any case, one thing is certain: all these accounts use identical methods - stolen photos - to create an attractive and mysterious image for their virtuals.
So, with a 93% probability, i can say today: @Simonalein ⁽⁽⁽i⁾⁾⁾ @anonymiss @Eternal Blue @Junia are under control by one man or one organization.

And now they're also involved in the SEO-advertising of "a free girl for one night". Most likely it is an ordinary office, such as the one in Olgino, which in addition to orders from the national security agencies is also engaged in advertising pornography or prostitution.

I don't know who is hiding behind this anonymous image - a young lady who has grown accustomed to the image of a NSA hacktivist, or an NSA employee who has created the image of a young lady to recruit hacktivist boys in the Fediverse. Also, my life experience also suggests that this post is unlikely to change anything for the boys who are recruited (and just sympathizers), because, a human would rather fool himself again and again than admit that he was fooled.

My suspicions have been confirmed. It is most likely that these accounts are managed by one person or organization: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected]
(early they also made the same type of accounts in hubzilla on our hub: [email protected] and [email protected])

https://diasp.eu/posts/10514060#a99ecd90686d01384290543d7eeced27 - http://archive.is/4l5tH

Absolutely accidentally, the same messages to my address are written by all four "girls" at one moment (at that, two of these accounts have long blocked my comments to their posts).

All of these are virtual "hacktivist girls" who are fond of very uncharacteristic topics for girls, use stolen photos for avatars and make reposting of each other.
In the decentralized network diaspora they managed to gather a group of virtual fans of their virtual images. These agents of influence, using the images of girls, have a considerable influence on local boys who want to win their attention and favour.

This one @unitedrake - as all of them used stealed image of some girl for better public relations:

@RⒶmonⒶ ⁽⁽⁽i⁾⁾⁾ you spammed me many times using different accounts. You used our hub for your another spam accounts. Apparently you wanted the same treatment for yourself. Following the principle of reciprocity.

Maybe, if you're fresh in the #fediverse and are still a bit accustomed to the g+ community, try to lookup the latest #checkin posts and #yell for a #mention in the upcoming one...

It's our daily community train, hosted by some few people, holdings things a bit together and helping in networking your way to a nice stream. ;)

Welcome to the Fediverse!

Why do we call it by that name? A brief explanation can be found here. My favorite platform of the ones listed there is Diaspora, because of it’s short learning curve and simple, intuitive interface. In my opinion it’s the most ideal replacement for Farcebook with similar features, except for groups, but I’ll show you how I have created groups of my own right here on Diaspora.

Diaspora Takes Time to Become What You want it to Be.

That’s because you “build your own” experience here. Unlike Farcebook, #Diaspora will not suggest “people you may know” or “stuff you might like.” You tell it what you want to see and who you want to share with. If you are new around here, and especially if you don’t know anyone on Diaspora or elsewhere in the #Fediverse, you can follow #hashtags about subjects that interest you, and looking there, you’ll probably find some people you want to share with. You may also find people you’d rather ignore. Both adding new people and ignoring trolls are easy to do with just a couple of clicks.

Introduce Yourself!
Let your friends and potential friends know you’re here. Fill out a little bio and include an image. It doesn’t have to be your photograph of yourself, it can be anything you want. You can even make up a cool name to go by, like Joe McCool or something. There’s no need to use your real name here. In your #newhere or #Introduction post, share what hashtags you’re following, and be sure to include a few in your own description. Make sure your Intro is public!

Your friends, old and new, will help you.

For example, I might private message one of my friends to tip him or her off about a spammer, a bot, or a troll and advise my friend to use the Ignore feature to prevent them from commenting on your posts. Or I might suggest an awesome person to share with whose posts I think my friend will enjoy. Most importantly, since it takes time, give it time! You’re building it custom made, just for you.

Create your own Groups on Diaspora!

Some people do it simply by using hashtags. I do it using Aspects. From your personal page (reach it by clicking on your own picture if you’re viewing your Stream), look at your Aspects. You have a few to start with by default: Family, Friends, Work, and Acquaintances. But underneath that list you’ll find “Add an Aspect.” Give it whatever name you want. Dance Partners, Church friends, Trek Fans, Starwars fans, Alien Life Forms, whatever you like, as many as you like! You can put people you’re sharing with into one or more of those categories, then read and post to just that particular Aspect. That’s how I made my own groups. It works for me because I took the time to make it work.

Most of all, have fun! Make it your own, and celebrate your liberation from “Big Media!”

Nun muss Ersatz her.

#Followerpower

My advice for a pluspora alternative if you're doing an art blog:

I use SocialHome for my art blog, because it’s very stylish for an art gallery blog and it natively provides multi-column. However, it lacks any support for “pluses” or “likes”, which means that you get no feedback even if someone likes it on diaspora or Mastodon. It also hides all comments behind clickable and very tiny comment icons. The big problem is that you don’t see comments in your stream - if that’s something you care about. (It’s something that I care about, and it was pretty much a deal killer for me as a daily driver.)

You still get e-mail notifications if anyone comments/reshares your posts, so you’ll still get notification on your own stuff. If you don’t mind losing “plus”/“like” functionality, then SocialHome can be pretty cool for an art blog, I think.

I think the pod I use, socialhome.network is closed to new users, but I would guess that if I simply ask Jason Robinson he’ll let you create an account on it.

If you really want the plus/like interaction, then either stick with diaspora or try out Friendica. I think Friendica is the biggest option that federates with both the diaspora and Mastodon sides of the federation. That’s unfortunately not saying much, because we’re still talking only around 5000 active users (compared to 10 times as much on diaspora and way way more on Mastodon). Note that even though Mastodon has a huge user base, don’t get any hopes up on seeing any interaction from Mastodon users. My interaction on the Mastodon side is NEAR ZERO. Your mileage may vary.

Anyway, Friendica has various features which might convince you to switch - like post/comment editing, plus/likes on comments, and support for community groups. It’s worth experimenting with, at least.

I have not had luck making a multi-column userstyle for Friendica that works robustly. I gave up on it a long time ago though … maybe if I tried again now I’d have better luck. Friendica is under pretty active development, so it may be more of a moving target to try and customize.

Anyway, to get some idea which pods are active out there, check out these Federation statistic pages:

https://the-federation.info/socialhome
https://the-federation.info/friendica
https://the-federation.info/diaspora

Another alternative is Hubzilla, which is related to Friendica. But I think Friendica is more popular and Hubzilla doesn't really offer compelling advantages over Friendica right now. If you only feel like checking one of them out, I'd suggest checking out Friendica.

Good to see this #Diaspora pod back up! Even though I don't post too often, I still really dig this site and its atmosphere. It's easily my favorite #SocialMedia site in the #Fediverse so far.

After 13 days off-line diasp.org is back! (This is a repost, which I will explain below)

Many thanks to @David Morley for his tireless efforts getting the pod back on line!! Thank you too to all the pod members who made donations while it was down to help get things running again!

To the rest of the #fediverse #federation - it is good to be back.

For those of you who missed the story, the short version: On 5 April 2021 there was a power interruption at the server hardware provider for Diasp.org, WebNX in Ogden, Utah. The back-up generator kicked in just fine, then caught on fire. The resulting fire suppression efforts by the fire department shut everything down and also took out a swath of the servers with water damage. Yeah, good question, who fights electrical fires with water? The diasp.org server was one of the servers that was water damaged, it seems. It was going to be a long time before service was restored, perhaps weeks, months or never so our pod admin, David, moved us to a new service provider and just finished getting it up and on-line. So we are back. Miss us?

and now an update and explanation as to why this was posted again.

After the above original post the hard drive on the brand new diasp.org server quit and had to be replaced. It was corrupted and so we lost all the diasp.org posts made in between the two failures. I managed to recover mine from synches over at joindiaspora.com, so I am just going to repost them here again. Sorry for any duplication that causes.

German below ->
I try to unite my #Diaspora and #Mastodon accounts and maybe discover some of the fancy friendica features. Hope it will be sucessfull and stay as my fediverse solution.

This #friendica account is my new testobject and I would welcome if you share with me (again) 😀 maybe it is possible to permanent move to this account.

Me on D\* @Krutor
Me on Mastodon:

Hello #Fediverse #community,

As mentioned in my limited post yesterday, I have a #question about #Diaspora* on the #Onion-Network.

I discovered a Diaspora* pod ( http://connect25lovylmq.onion ) on the #darknet, and because I was curious I opened an account there.
In the meantime I discovered a second pod there ( http://connectkjsazkwud.onion/ ).

My question now would be, does anyone have #experience with Diaspora* on the darknet, or even an #account there?
I would also be interested to know how many pods there are.

For #Feedback and #Exchange of experience I would be grateful.

Have a nice Sunday everybody! 😊

Some material for this greeting, and the idea of having a greeting like this, was shamelessly stolen from @Robbie

#Question, libranet.de is down on #Friendica, any idea where I can find out what's up with that? E.g., a twitter account, a blog, a forum, an email address...

Zitat Theaitetos:
"Nazi" is a smear word, invented by Jews to denigrate Adolf #Hitler's political party. Like "Goy". That's why I don't think of myself as a Nazi, but if I am called a Nazi by a Jew or a Shabbos, then I wear this slur with pride.

I wonder if there are any people out there in the #fediverse who would know anything about the #OGL, also known as the #opengamelicense ?

I am reading it over, but it seems unclear if a project can be "forked" a-la #floss projects.
